We're beyond elated to announce . . . Rudy has been adopted! Congratulations, Mandy Sue and Rudy!!! Their bond began as Mandy Sue found herself with the job of training Rudy for the Midwest Rescue Horse Trainers Challenge, and the rest is history! We look forward to seeing these two continue their journey!

Mandy was so very impressed with the easy way Rudy would meet visitors at the fairgrounds Saturday, she realized he loves the public forum. His purpose in life is larger than a backyard trail horse or 4h!! She is creating his own Facebook page and Rudy will now travel with Mandy to Horse events as an ambassador for Horse Rescue!! Rudy’s following will soon become enormous!! We always knew as the only survivor of 60 neglected seized horses, that God had a higher purpose in mind for him! Now finally 5 years later that purpose is being realized!!! Continue to follow his and Mandy’s journey through www.livingdreamsfarm.com

Goodbye

Today is a very sad day for us as we say goodbye to Zip.

Since last mid-winter, Zip's arthritis has drastically advanced, leaving his hind end near crippled and forcing him to deal with near-constant pain. None of the numerous medications nor treatments he's received have provided him with any long-term relief. We feel that now the best thing we can do for him is release him from his suffering, with dignity, before the day comes he is unable to get up and experiences the panic and trauma that can come with having to make these decisions "on a moment's notice" and before the crisp air and slippery grounds of fall arrive and increase his discomfort further.

He has had a wonderful time of late, with our volunteers and staff spoiling him and loving on him as all have said their goodbyes, and though it's so hard to do, we know in the end he will finally feel relief from his suffering.

Run free, Zip . . .
❤️❤️❤️

Frosty's Fencing Fundraiser

Frosty's Fencing Fundraiser

We had a rather scary episode on Friday that we're taking immediate action on. Frosty (who is blind and very fearful of touch) broke out of his fencing and ended up in the pond. Thanks to some quick thinking and incredible work by several wonderful people, he is back in and okay, but we need to upgrade the fencing in his area to make sure he stays in and safe!

We need 68 treated boards (2x6x10) at $15/board, plus hardware to mount, figuring roughly about $1000 for the project. Would you please consider donating a board or two to this worthy project? (2 boards = $30, etc.) Paypal donation works best, and please select the "Friends and Family" option to avoid fees. Paypal to rescue.horses@yahoo.com, or checks can be mailed to AGES, W4985 County Road FF, Elkhart Lake, WI, 53020. Thank you!!!
