Every sponsor will receive a welcome gift of a beautifully hand-sculpted horse made by Elvenspun in addition to the benefits listed below. Choose from one of these horses: Johnnie, Trigger, Gypsy, Etsy. They are all either living at AGES permanently, or require extensive, long-term rehab to get them ready to be adopted. Scroll down for more information on each horse, or click on a name to get a detailed biography. After you’ve made your choice, please indicate which horse you would like to sponsor at the bottom of our subscription form. If you want your recurring monthly donation to benefit all of our horses, you still will receive a model of a horse and the other benefits.

AGES staff and volunteers,
Good afternoon, I just wanted to take a moment and thank you soo much for the opportunity to come visit your amazing rescue and adoption facility this past weekend.
My husband and I and our 2 children drove 7 ½ hours one way from Iowa just to see you and your amazing horses (and adorable donkeys too)! We recently started sponsoring Callie and I just know my monthly donation isn’t enough. I don’t think I could ever have or ever give enough money to your amazing organization!
I wish I had millions to give you!
We had such a wonderful time! Your farm is beautiful and we LOVED seeing all the horses there!! I’m so thankful we got to see Nelson and his momma before they left and seeing Rudy in person was amazing. He was, after all, how I found your rescue to begin with. I stumbled on his story by chance and fell in love instantly! He is such an amazing horse and what you have brought him from is truly a testament to how incredible you all are and the will, determination, strength and fight horses have in them! They are truly amazing animals!!
I fell in love with all of them! My husband loved Scooter the best – but I loved them all!
Thank you again for letting us come to your farm and share a few minutes with them!! It is an experience I know I will never forget and I hope we can make the trip again someday!!!
Here is a picture of my husband with Scooter! She didn’t want to share the treats of course – but she was kind enough to let Phoebe and Etsy have a few!
Thank you again and God Bless you all!!
Gypsy is a beloved permanent resident here at AGES. Gypsy’s former owner ignored her eye infections and now she is almost totally blind, but sweet and loveable as a puppy (and, as you can see in the picture, she likes to roll around on the ground!).
Gypsy needs sponsors to fund her expenses including daily eye drops. Can you help? Read more about Gypsy.
Johnnie was purchased from a feedlot in Pennsylvania, saving him from his likely fate at a slaughterhouse. He is sweet and gentle and loves attention. Sadly, he was likely used as a roping dummy so he arrived at AGES with neck and throat problems, infested with lice, limited vision and probably a rear hind stifle injury. But he’s sweet and patient and we want to give him the best life he can have as a permanent resident of AGES. We could really use help with his ongoing vet and medicine expenses. Please consider being a sponsor for Johnnie.
Trigger is a 25 yr old Shetland Pony who was surrendered to us from a breeding farm in Sheboygan County. He was their breeding stallion who was allowed to run with a herd of mares for many years….so you could say he’s had quite a nice life! He was gelded and is very calm, beautiful, and is pretty easy to handle. He lives with Gypsy and Callie and looks after the girls! Read about how you can help Trigger.
Etsy came to AGES after we received reports of an emaciated mare who was nursing a foal. We discovered that, while she had access to hay, she was unable to eat hay because her teeth were so worn down, and consequently, was not getting enough nutrition. Her owner surrendered her to AGES where she is on nutritious feed appropriate for her condition, and is gaining weight steadily. She’s about 22 years old, probably used for breeding her entire life, and now is retired at AGES.
