A HUGE Thanks!

I would like to personally deeply thank the ladies from Fringe Benefits, Rachel and Melanie Nick! These ladies work harder and faster than just about anyone I’ve ever met!! They made our tack room a magical mystery shopping experience for hundreds yesterday…and we are over the moon with appreciation to them!!

With their talent they sold and raised for us…about $3500 at last count! No one does it better! If you or someone you know is considering an estate sale……..this awesome duo will do it professionally and profitably!

Love you Fringe Benefits!! And thank you for helping so many animal rescues in southeast Wisconsin!!!

Meet Slim Shady aka “Shade”

i Apr 13th No Comments by

We were contacted last week about a starved horse that had been dumped in Racine county. Here is what we know:

We believe this horse is named “LAKE” Tattoo #D48833 foaled 4/15/2000. We are trying to track down the last owner listed. We have decided to call him “Shade.”

The woman who brought him to us stated that there was a bit of a trail of his poop….shoe prints and bedding….to suggest someone purposely unloaded him…

Slim Shady ( I mean Shade) stands 16.1hh and weighs in about 1055 lbs.

Still no word on an owner, but in the meantime, this sweetheart is THOROUGHLY enjoying himself here. Pun intended. 🙂

Nova Needs Your Help!

i Jan 25th 1 Comment by

Nova1.jpgHere is Nova. 18 year old Saddlebred gelding. About 15.2hh and per the vet…about 700 lbs. Body score of 1 – which is the same as Rudy at his intake… His future is uncertain. “He could go either way”. We need prayers……healing thoughts and your generosity to help him live. He is very depressed and exhausted…but his lungs are clear…his temp is normal, his hydration is very good…..has a heart murmur. His will to live…….very uncertain.

If anyone would like to help donate to his rehab please consider a tax deductible gift to his care. Our Paypal is rescue.horses@yahoo.com and thank you so much!! Please share Nova’s story!

AGES is grateful to a generous man named Roger Wilson from Mayville, Wisconsin who donated 72 large bales of hay to our horses this weekend!! His friend Bob made 2 trips here with his flatbed to deliver the cargo!!! Needless to say we are beyond full and thrilled with this huge and unexpected gift of love !!! This saves us about $4000 !!
